GREEN BUILDINGS & THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT

Smart Cities are and important part of the future; buildings need to be intelligent and operate efficiently, save water and generate energy. By 2030, 60% of the world’s population will live in vast megacities and urban environments. This tectonic shift in human habitation will put immense pressure on our living environments and spur the growth and implementation of impressive new solutions to the ways in which we design, build and manage our cities. A global drive to design ‘smarter cities’ is placing increasing demand for specialists who have the skills to improve the efficiency of our cities while at the same time improving the quality of life for all inhabitants.

The industry’s mandate is to maintain standards of health, safety and environmental protection through governance, professionalism and policy.
